Grace Biotech Corporation was established in 1999, engaged in the research and development of environmental materials. In its earlier stage, technology was received from a group of biochemistry scientists from UCLA and Stanford University in United States, using thermoplastic cornstarch as base theory, GraceBio had become a pioneer in Biomass-based plastics in Taiwan ever since.
In 2003, under the new management team, the new R & D team through endless efforts, successfully developed "Total Biodegradable Plastics" and passed the European GLP laboratory "OWS n.v."'s compostablility test, which conforms to EN 13432, ASTM D 6400 Industrial Composting Standards. Later GraceBio received compostable certificates from Aib Vincotte(Belgium), Din Certco(Germany), JBPA (Japan), BPI(USA), and Eco Mark(Taiwan).
In the revolution of food, medical treatment, environmental protection, and energy problems, GraceBio provides products that can cut down on pollution and reduce the use of petroleum. We believe by using renewable resource material to develop Bio-based and Biodegradable plastics (Bioplastic), we can update plastics made from petroleum and create a cleaner and more sustainable future. |
